I am Victor Guerra, known online as Victortheinspiration — an author, content creator, aspiring keynote speaker, and advocate living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2, a progressive condition that weakens the body over time. My journey has never been ordinary. I have endured dozens of surgeries on my spine alone, faced physical limitations that most people will never experience, and lived through moments where simply continuing forward felt like the greatest challenge of all. But my story doesn’t begin with strength — it begins with struggle, pain, and uncertainty.
There was a point in my life where everything collapsed internally. I went through a severe mental health breakdown that led to a 72-hour psychiatric hold — a moment where I had to confront not just my circumstances, but myself. That experience could have been the end of my story. Instead, it became the turning point. From that place, I began rebuilding — mentally, spiritually, and emotionally — step by step, choosing purpose over pain. Today, I am a published author, using my voice to reach others who feel lost, overlooked, or ready to give up, showing them that even in your lowest moment, something greater can still be written.
And the truth is… I don’t believe I deserve this opportunity more than anyone else. There are countless incredible individuals doing meaningful work every single day. But what I do believe is this — I am willing to earn it.
