Rest in Peace Mi Gram Grams… I love you, always

June 6, 2024. Someone who meant the world to me was called home. At 11:00 late last night my mother had received a phone call… grandma was being resuscitated.

I was in my office working. As soon as I heard my mom react in a panic and begin crying… I knew something was going on with grandma. We dropped everything, got in the van, and flew over as fast as we could.

First responders were there - I knew grandma was home. I get out of the van and we rush inside. The flood of tears ran down my cheeks shaking to see her there.

It was a bittersweet moment because I knew she made it to her 97th birthday and she was no longer suffering.

My grandmother had lived quite the life:

Born June 4, 1927..

Had a rough childhood..

Worked in the fields..

Had 9 children raising all on her own..

Traveled both here within and outside of the United States..

Had grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren..

“She had planted roots deep enough radiating the strength of one’s strong and genuine character creating generations of life.”

My grandmother lived quite the life. As much as it hurts and will hurt to know she no longer is physically here… spiritually speaking she will always mean something here for her physical appearance cannot be seen, but her spirit and the memories shared will continue on forever.

To mi gram grams, I love you always.

I will miss the sound of your laugh, making you smile, and the time we had together. But I will always remember how far one can go when they take care of themselves, remain strong, pray having faith, and loves for love was and is who you are.

My Queen! I will make you proud.

To family and friends who read this far, thank you for allowing me your time. If you have any pictures of you and my grandmother please send them my way because we will be doing a montage honoring her legacy..

Please allow the family time to grief as you can imagine this is a difficult time for all.

I and we appreciate your prayers in advance - genuinely it means a lot and goes a far way.

Much love,

~Victor
